12:02 am - Walmart is the devil! Saw "Walmart: The High Price of Low Cost" the other day with two of my favorite boys, Alex and Marcus. It was AWESOME. Everyone should see it. I'm officially boycotting Walmart now. I had been trying to wane myself off of it...but now it's official. The best phrase came from the movie that I will now try to work into my everyday vocabulary: "Plantation Capitalism" That's awesome...plantation capitalism. Evil bastards. Current Mood: bored

Sly. Sensual. Guarded. Different somehow. You are The Nymph.
It appears like you're looking for a fling or a casual sexual relationship, but it's not that simple. You're a hungry but also very careful person, and this generates a certain amount of sexual tension within you and in your relationships. In other aspects of life, you get what you want. In relationships, that's not always the case.
It's possible you intimidate potential lovers. Most likely, though, you're a little closed off--therefore mysterious--and, naturally, people find that difficult to get with. Maybe it's just part of your selection Your exact opposite: The Peach

| process, though. You've been in enough relationships to know to expose yourself slowly.
When you do feel comfortable with someone, though, your torrid sexual appetite will make her very happy. Your cautious nature is also a big asset in a long-term relationship. It might take longer for love to establish itself, but when it does, it's all the stronger.

11:24 am - Chills... Talking about the first pride parade in New York City in 1970:
"Many of the men and women who marched that day would forever remember that moment on top of the bluff. Before them lay a field of uncut grass, a blizzard of banners, dancing, pot-smoking, singing and music, a huge American flag, "gay pride" signs decorated with the Day-Glo hippie flower stickers, and men and women applauding each new arrival over the hill. And behind them- stretching out as far as they could see- was line after line after line of homosexuals and their supporters, at least 15 blocks worth, by the count of the New York Times, which found turnout notable enough to report it on the front page of the next day's paper. No one had ever seen so many homosexuals in one place before. On top of the bluff, many of these men and women, who had grown up so isolated and alone, stood in silence and cried." 10:02 pm - Woohoo!!! I work for Equality Florida...doo da...doo da! I now have the best part time job EVER! Last week I was bitching to Joe about how much I hate target (after only 4 days) and I jokingly said "Need an assistant?" Joe tells me I should write a proposal and ask them to seriously consider hiring me and that I'll even raise my own salary. After much agonizing and 4 drafts later, I hand in a proposal on Monday, told I basically have the job on Tuesday and today I get my job description and I start Monday. Oh, how much better my life got in one week. My title is "Public Policy Assistant", I am going to assist Nadine in public policy. It's really intimidating to report directly to her, but I think it's going to be good. Joe and I are going to work in an office together and kick Central Florida's ass. And I finally get something I've wanted since I was a child...my own business cards. I don't even have to raise my own salary. Yes...times are good. 10:53 pm - It finally came to an end... I get an e-mail the other day that says "The book shop is closed." Apparently, the land lady as being a bitch and gave us a 24 hour evacuation notice, so my boss packed up the book store on Monday and was gone by Tuesday. He didn't even call me to help pack it up. My year and a half at that store meant more to me than I thought it did. I helped set up that store and suddenly it's just like "Well, bye." I dunno...it was just so sudden. Now I'm unemployed and feel really lazy.
Feeling distant from friends and I can't tell if it's me being paranoid or if thats actually the case.
17 days till I move into the apartment. God help me.

10:52 pm - Hmm... So I was thinking today...it would be fabulous if I knew someone with the last name Rehnquist...cause then I could go "Ha ha! Rehnquist you old bastard!", in my best good ol' boy voice. Then I realize I have never even heard of anyone with that last name except for the Chief Justice. Then I think...well...that would never work...he and I could never be friends. Current Mood: content Current Music: watching Seinfeld

05:37 pm - Post from 1 year ago I dig this post so I'm posting it again...I do what I want, bitch.
Happy Fourth Of July Everyone The Fourth of July is the time of year that for one day everyone is patriotic. Everyone wears red, white and blue, eats hamburgers and watches fireworks and calls this patriotic. While I do think it's nice we have this day of the year to stop and celebrate our wonderful nation, I think it's sad most people really don't think about what America is and what it stands for. How often do most people pause and reflect on our founding fathers and the beautiful document that is the Constitution? How often does the average person really stop to think about the principles this country was founded on? Although our country has some problems, it is such a beautiful country. We have come such a long way in our short existence. Our form of government is something to be admired (although the current people running it leave something to be desired). *Sigh* I don't really know what I'm trying to say. I just wish everyone would appreciate how truly wonderful this country is. And not any of that "These colors don't run/I'll put a boot in your ass" bullshit. That isn't real patriotism. The real patriots are those that stand up for our rights and don't always agree with the government. The government only really works when we are there to balance it. So bottom line here: vote Democrat in the fall. Let's get those bastards out of office.
